On June 2, a pastor began a bicycle ride from California to Maine to raise money for a desperately needed Women’s Hospital in Africa.  Here’s the opener from his website

“Welcome to BikeForMali.org! As of June 2, Bruce Overstreet has started riding his bicycle from California to Maine to benefit Koutiala Women and Children’s Hospital in Mali, West Africa. Pledges per mile are being taken and will go towards the needs described on the “Why the Ride?” page. Progress is shown on the “Are We There Yet?” page – including where we are with pledges, and how far Bruce has cycled so far, so be sure to check back!”

This is no small project, as I believe that pastor Bruce is seeking to raise over a million dollars because the need is great! If you’d like to know more about Bruce’s “Bike4Mali” then check out Bike4Mali.org.    If you’d like to give to support the new women’s hospital then please click here.  Here’s some more information about the Koutiala Women and Children’s Hospital (Hospital Femmes Et Enfants).  Thanks for reading!
